Introduced in 2001, GoGirlGo! is the nonprofit’s landmark educational program established to get girls moving, as two out of three girls are not getting enough exercise. The program provides funding to other organizations that work with girls, providing curriculum for these organizations, as well as more than $5.6 million in funding.

Recently, GoGirlGo! held a leadership institute at the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis and Learning in New York. A total of 30 program leaders learned more about the curriculum and ways to implement it into their programs.

Once healthy, the chimps are released onto protected lands owned by the sanctuary. Tchimpounga serves as a refuge for mandrills, categorized as a vulnerable species.
